Fast paced, action packed, intriguing, great characters and story line

I felt like I was riding the roller coaster Medusa that is at Kings Island as I was reading this book. Up, down, unside down, twisting right then left. This story lasts much longer than Medusa but it is worth the ride and you don’t have to go up in the air to take the ride. I loved all the action, suspense, mystery, etc. It’s hard to know who are the good guys/girls. Does the Division Zero team succeed in their mission??? The answer only comes from reading this book!!! I received a copy from the publisher. This is my honest, unsolicited opinion.

This Christian romantic suspense is full of twists and edge of your seat moments. I enjoyed the characters, and would highly recommend reading this first book in a new series.

If you love action, intrigue, and excitement this book delivers. Strong characters and bonds forged in fire are the bedrock of the story and I was all in from page one.
It took me a while to figure out all the connections between some of the players but in working it out—in between all the action—I found myself investing myself in the outcome of their lives: in struggles, faith, and romantic entanglements.
Only Lisa Phillips could combine the best elements of romantic suspense and step up the game with governments gone amuck, an AI that’s learning the actions of our heroes, and danger around every corner. What a ride!
I don’t really have the words to explain the intricate details of the plot but suffice it to say “The Lazarus Protocol” is an excellent book that doesn’t just satisfy you at the end but also sets up anticipation for the rest of the series.

When Noah begins to suspect his parents are still alive and working for the CIA, he goes to the agency with a propostion: they can use his elite team for their new Division Zero team for free, and in exchange he gets the file on his parents. The team (Adam, Ice, Dan, Kai and Ash, with Marina on Coms) are already in the middle of a job to test the security on a tech company. When the tech company asks them to retrieve their drone after a successful mission and the CIA asks Noah to use his team to find a missing agent, they split up. When they find Steph, they discover she has also been linked to the tech company, and when Noah and Marina find Marina’s cousin was killed while looking in someone buying too much air space that is also liked to the same tech company, they all join together again to discover who is behind it all. With an AI program learning from their every move, and multiple forces trying to abduct them, the team is going to have to use all their resources to escape intact.
I really enjoyed the story, and it keeps you hooked right from the beginning. It was told from a lot of different POV’s, which changed at the beginning of chapters so I would recommend not stopping midchapter so to avoid any confusion. I am excited to see what happens next in the series, and while it wasn’t a total cliffhanger ending it was enough of one to leave you wanting more.

The Lazarus Protocol is an absolutely phenomenal start to this new series. From the very first chapter, the action, espionage, and high-stakes suspense hit hard and never let up. At first it feels like several intense storylines racing in different directions, but Lisa Phillips masterfully weaves them together into one explosive, unified plot that kept me glued to the pages.
I loved seeing Adam again, and the chemistry between several of the characters added depth and spark without slowing the pace. Every scene felt sharp, purposeful, and loaded with tension.
I’ve been reading Lisa Phillips for so many years, and somehow she keeps getting better. Her writing is tight, layered, and full of heart. This book is smart, gripping, and impossible to put down.
A flawless, adrenaline-packed beginning to a series I cannot wait to continue. Five stars all the way.
